Coach Todd Maas said, “We played good enough to put goals up. Field conditions were horrible. It really had an affect on the guys. But we still need to perform. Things are not going to be perfect all the time and these guys have to find ways to put that aside and take care of business.”
Coach Maas talked about winning the conference title. “I’m proud of the boys for that. We missed it last year by one goal. And one goal hurt. I still remember it like it just happened. So I’m happy for the guys for getting back on top. We have a lot more work to do and need to start to peak here in the next coming games. I’m confident this team has it in them. They just need to prove it to themselves. L-C tomorrow and Preble on Saturday to finish out our season schedule. Tournament time starts next week with seeding meeting this Sunday.”
