Win number 85 came in a 5-3 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals Friday night for the Wild Card-hungry Milwaukee Brewers.
Chase Anderson picked up his 12th win of the season while pitching seven innings, allowing three hits and striking out five Cardinals batters.
Milwaukee led 5-1 heading into the bottom half of the ninth inning. St. Louis scrapped two runs back before their offense ran out of gas.
The Brewers Wild Card hopes are still alive, despite another big win for the Colorado Rockies. If Colorado wins one more game they clinch the final spot in the National League Wild Card race.
Game two against St. Louis is today with first pitch slated at 3:15 pm.
