The Milwaukee Brewers hung on Sunday afternoon to beat the Cubs 3-1. Zach Davies started on the bump for Milwaukee and went seven innings only giving up one run on six strikeouts. Corey Knebel came in the ninth to shut the door on the Cubs and earn his 34th save.
Stephen Vogt got it going in the fourth inning when he drove in an RBI to tie the game at one a piece. Travis Shaw ultimately put the Brewers on top for good with a two-run bomb in sixth inning.
Milwaukee will now open a series at home against the Pirates on Monday. First pitch being thrown out at 6:40.
