The Green Bay Bullfrogs fell to the Kalamazoo Growlers 3-4 in the first of a two-game series in Michigan Saturday night. This puts the Bullfrogs at 3-1 against Kalamazoo this season. The Frogs scored early in the first inning and built up a 3-1 lead by the seventh, but the Growlers answered with five hits in a row and three runs in the eighth to push ahead 4-3. Kalamazoo brought Walter Talcott in from the bullpen for three strikeouts of the Frogs’ first three hitters, sealing the win for the Growlers.
The Bullfrogs will have a chance to break even on the series tomorrow as they face the Growlers again, starting pitcher Garret Gooden for the first time this season. Green Bay will travel to Battle Creek next, and their next home game will be July 26th against the Fond Du Lac Dock Spiders.
