The restoration of the Kewaunee Harbor seawall is on track to finish on time. Crews working on the seawall will take a couple weeks off for the holidays before coming back in late February to install approximately 65 tiebacks. Once that is completed, Mayor Sandi Christman says crews begin other aspects of the project.
Christman says this portion of the restoration project must wrap up by June 1 under the terms of the state’s Department of Transportation Harbor Assistance Program. The city of Kewaunee and the Kewaunee County Economic Development Corporation are working together to find suitable developers for the site once the project is completed.
