Serving as Sturgeon Bay’s District Three alderperson has been a learning experience for Dr. David Ward. The semi-retired economic consultant and former interim university chancellor took on the role after Ed Ireland resigned in June. Ward says the experience has confirmed in his eyes what the state’s policies of limiting revenue have done in terms of the city ability to do programs.
Ward wants to do more for the city in the future as he hopes to file his nomination papers for a full term on the Sturgeon Bay Common Council in the coming week.
