After losing on Friday night in their opening matchup of the Kohler Tournament to the Salam Rockets, the Gibraltar Vikings Boys basketball team returned to their winning ways beating Sevastopol on Saturday.
The boys varsity team dominated the Pioneers winning 80-25 behind the play of Nathan Surges and Tyler Kropuenske who both scored 20 points each in the contest.
Coach Justin Burress was impressed with the play of two of his senior captains who continue to lead by example racking up points and playing stellar defense. Kropuenske continues to dominate the paint, maintaining an 11 rebound per game average which leads the conference. Surges has averaged 16 points per game this season, which ranks him within the top ten of all conference scorers.
The team has the night off tonight, but will be back on the road tomorrow against Oconto playing their fourth basketball game over the past 6 days.
