Stock car drivers from throughout the state and Upper Michigan will be flocking to Door County Friday night for the first official meeting for the brand new racetrack, The Hill. Sturgeon Bay’s clay oval will re-open with a new name and new owners/promoters in 2017.
The Institute Saloon will host this evening’s driver’s meeting/informational meeting at 7:00 PM. PKS3, the name of the ownership group, will go over rules, divisions, advertising, their decision to drop IMCA, season passes, kids, equipment and a whole bunch more.
It was also announced this week that Rass Excavating will be providing all of the equipment to keep the track in pristine condition in 2017. The group will also give thanks to some very influential people that made this dream a reality and kept racing alive in Door County including Gary Nault, John White, the Door County Board, and numerous sponsors.
PKS# expects to release their 2017 racing schedule on or before January 15th, 2017.
