Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) are costing consumers more than just the money they withdraw. In addition to the average out-of-market ATM fee hitting an all-time high ($4.57 per transaction) according to Bankrate.com, ATM card users could also forget to keep track of such transactions. Gay Pustaver from Money Management Counselors suggests paying closer attention to what you are spending and withdrawing by trying to keep cash on you when you go shopping.
Pustaver suggests planning ahead to make sure you have cash for the purchases you have control over so you can stick to your spending plan.
