Many families braved the elements this morning for what turned out to be an eventful Christmas by the Bay parade. Parade walkers and floats each had a hard time contending with the wind that was whipping through downtown Sturgeon Bay. Hats and some float decorations could be seen flying down the street. According to a group of kids on the Nicolet Bank float, there were highlights to being in the parade despite the weather.
In the end, only two floats could be awarded top prize by the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center. “Best Non-Profit Float” was awarded to St. John Bosco Catholic School and “Best Business Float” was awarded to Selvick Marine Towing. Full video of the parade is available below this story.
