The Green Bay Packers made their largest splash in free agency this month since the signing of Charles Woodson on April 26, 2006. Julius Peppers is hoping to make a major impact along the Packers defensive line.
The Chicago Bears felt they needed to add a pass rushing threat with the departure of Peppers. They too stayed inside the division with the acquisition of Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen.
ESPN is reporting that Allen's four year deal could be worth up to $32 million including $15.5 million in guaranteed money.
Aaron Rodgers will again have to keep a close eye over his left shoulder this season when playing against Jared Allen. The newest Chicago Bear has 128.5 career sacks, including 11.5 last season.
