WIAA Sectional Boys Basketball Tournament Starts Tonight

The lone representative of the Packerland Conference in boys basketball still alive in the post season will play in a sectional semi-final tonight. N.E.W. Lutheran will have as close to a home game as possible when Wausaukee travels all the way to the Blazers back yard to tip-off tonight’s game at Bay Port. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM.

The Packerland Conference champions are (24-1) on the season and match up with fellow number one seed Wausaukee. The Rangers are (22-3) on the season and barely got out of their regional. A four-point victory over Suring in their regional final proves Wausaukee is battle tested.

The Blazers on the other hand have scored over 70 points in each of their post season games with an average winning margin of nearly 33 points.

The winner of tonight’s game will play in the Division 5 sectional final at 2:00 PM at Pulaski High School.
