The Green Bay Packers fell 30-8 to the Kansas City Chiefs in finale pre-season game of 2013. The loss dropped ‘The Pack’ to (1-3) during their exhibition schedule. The pre-season finale allowed Coach Mike McCarthy and GM Ted Thompson an opportunity to evaluate talent before dropping the roster from 75 down to 53 players. The final cuts will be made before 5:00 PM tomorrow.
One major point of interest last night was the battle for the starting right tackle position. Don Barclay won out over Marshal Newhouse, according to Coach McCarthy.
The Packers took a very precautious path into last night’s game. Pro Bowlers Aaron Rodgers and Clay Matthews did not take a single snap. Others not getting much if any work last night included Jermichael Finley, Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb.
