The National League Central Division leading St. Louis Cardinals are cheering for the Brewers this week as they play second place Pittsburgh Pirates. After winning game one of the series, Milwaukee allowed the Cardinals to take a game and a half lead in the standings.
A 7-1 loss for the Brewers last night brought the Pirates back within a half game of St. Louis. Milwaukee struggled in all phases of the game Wednesday. With the offense hibernating for the night, starting pitcher Tom Gorzelanny surrendered four runs and nine hits over 5 1/3 innings at PNC Park.
The final game of the three game series will start at 6:05 this evening
