Milwaukee got a much needed 6-4 win over the Cardinals at Busch Stadium last night.
John Axford kept the game tied at 4 in the bottom of the ninth with an out that left three Cardinals on base. At the top of the tenth, Ryan Braun and Aramis Ramirez each got a single off of St. Louis pitcher Joe Kelly. The pair moved into scoring position on a groundout before Kelly intentionally walked Carlos Gomez to load the bases. A few plays later Brewers infielder Jeff Bianchi drove in two runs with a clutch hit to center field.
Milwaukee closer Jim Henderson worked a 1-2-3 tenth inning for his eighth save.
The Brewers take on the Cardinals at 1:15 today for the final game of the series.
