A 6-3 victory over the Texas Rangers on Tuesday put Milwaukee back in the winning column after being swept in a four game series against the Cardinals last weekend. A five-run first inning would prove to be all the Brewers would need Tuesday night.
Carlos Gomez delivered a two-run double and scored on Yuniesky Betancourt's two-run home run. The instant offense provided more than enough breathing room for starter Wily Peralta.
Ryan Braun also drove in a run in the decisive first inning. Brewers third baseman Aramis Ramirez hit his first home run of an injury-shortened season in the seventh inning, a solo shot for insurance.
