The Milwaukee Brewers are swinging red-hot bats and last night they added a 12-8 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. The latest outburst ran their two-game total to 22 runs. Milwaukee’s domination of the Pirates continued Tuesday night and ensured another series victory. The win made it (46-7) against the Pirates at Miller Park since 2007.
Jean Segura led off the sixth inning with a tying home run, then Yuniesky Betancourt put the Crew ahead for good in the seventh. His three run homer made it 9-8 and Milwaukee pulled ahead of the Pirates in the NL Central standings and within a half game of the Cardinals.
Rickie Weeks added a homer of his own in the eighth, a three-run shot that extended the Brewers' lead.
