Former Green Bay Bullfrog Replaces Injured Ramirez

With their two best hitters out, the Milwaukee Brewers have called up Josh Prince from Triple-A Nashville. Aramis Ramirez is on a 15-day disabled list with a sprained left knee and Ryan Braun is still nursing a stiff neck. Prince is a former Green Bay Bullfrog and is the first former Bullfrog to reach the major leagues.

The Brewers have one more chance today against the Arizona Diamondbacks after yesterday’s 9-2 loss. The absence of Ramirez and Braun plus sub-par pitching seriously hindered the Crew. Jean Segura stepped up to the plate for Milwaukee and matched his career high with three hits, including an RBI double that put the Brewers ahead 2-1 in the second inning.

After that Diamondbacks pitcher Patrick Corbin retired the next eight batters without a ball hit past the infield. Milwaukee committed three errors, two of them in the seventh got Arizona two unearned runs.

The Brewers hope to get Braun back on the field today in the final game of the series at 1:10.
