Door and Kewaunee County spring sports teams have exhausted indoor drills and are impatiently waiting for warmer weather. A good deal of snow melted over the Easter weekend, but not anywhere near enough for teams to think about playing actual games.
Track and field teams have the luxury of running indoor meets but golf, baseball and softball are stuck waiting for Mother Nature to melt snow and dry fields and courses. There are no previously scheduled outdoor events that are expected to be played in Door or Kewaunee Counties this week.
Most spring sports seasons will start at least a full two weeks later than originally scheduled. Needless to say athletic directors have their hands full this spring.
