Thursday will go down as prospect day for the Milwaukee Brewers. Pitcher Wily Peralta pitched a scoreless spring debut and Khris Davis and Josh Prince each belted home runs. If these names are unfamiliar to you, don’t worry. You are not alone. The prospects helped carry the Brewers to a 4-3 win over the Chicago White Sox yesterday.
Peralta reported shoulder stiffness at the beginning of training camp, so the team has held him back until now. He allowed only two singles in two scoreless innings at Maryvale Baseball Park.
Milwaukee will introduce their biggest off-season free agent acquisition today in Tom Gorzelanny. He will start on the mound against the Rockies in Scottsdale, Ariz, at 2:10 p.m.
