Cullen Jenkins left the Green Bay Packers via free agency three years ago, now the defensive tackle has been released by the Philadelphia Eagles. In 2011, Green Bay General Manager Ted Thompson would not match the five-year, $25 million deal Jenkins got from the Eagles.
Jenkins agreed to restructure his contract last offseason in order to stay with the Eagles. He was due to make $5.5 million this season.
The 32-year-old started all 32 games after signing with the Eagles and had 9.5 sacks in his two seasons for Philadelphia, including four last season. Jenkins, who spent his first seven NFL seasons in Green Bay, has 38.5 sacks in 125 career games.
