
Davante Gardner had a breakout game Monday night for the Marquette Golden Eagles men’s basketball team. His career high 26 points led Marquette to a 74-71 upset of 12th ranked Syracuse Monday night in Milwaukee.
The Golden Eagles hope to see their stock rise in the national polls from where they currently occupy the 22nd spot in the AP Poll. The win boosts their record to (20-7) overall and (11-4) in the Big East Conference. Marquette is now just one-half game behind No. 7 Georgetown in the race for the Big East Conference Championship.
The Golden Eagles have a big game Saturday when Notre Dame comes to the Bradley Center.
