Spring Training will ratchet up a notch this week for the Milwaukee Brewers as they prepare for their first exhibition game. Slated to play the Oakland Athletics at 2:05 PM Saturday in Arizona, the Brewers owner has high hopes.
Mark Attanasio gave a glowing preview in Maryvale, Arizona of what he expects for the 2013 season. Attanasio said he believes the Brewers will succeed because of their league-leading offense that returns for 2013 aligned just as it was at the end of 2012.
The young pitchers who will try to keep that offense in games, Attanasio said, are "exciting." "Our expectations are high," Attanasio finished.
He expressed confidence in the club as constructed, but also spoke of "capital flexibility" to make additions, whether via free agency or trade in the coming weeks and months.
