The Baltimore Ravens defeated the San Francisco 49ers, 34-31, in Super Bowl 47 Sunday at the Super Dome in New Orleans. It marks the second Super Bowl title for the AFC Ravens. Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco was named the game’s Most Valuable Player. The game was also notable because brothers were the team’s head coaches. In this case, Ravens coach John Harbaugh has bragging rights over younger brother, Jim Harbaugh, who helms the 49ers.
The game will be remembered though for a 34 minute power outage in the third quarter. A power surge knocked out power to the scoreboards, public address system and half of the stadiums lights. Beyonce also received rave reviews for a thrilling halftime show.
