The Badgers edged the Minnesota Gophers yesterday, 45-44, giving Minnesota its fourth straight loss. Traevon Jackson gave the Badgers a 45-43 lead with just 1.8 seconds remaining. After a timeout by Minnesota, Wisconsin’s Mike Bruesewitz fouled Trevor Mbakwe but Mbakwe couldn’t shoot free throws due to a wrist injury. Rodney Williams took Mbakwe’s place and hit the first free throw but missed the second. With that win, Wisconsin improves to (14-6) and heads to Ohio State Tuesday.
