One of the most exciting Brewers players inked a one year contract extension yesterday. The Brewers and center fielder Carlos Gomez avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract.
The Brewers' remaining arbitration-eligibles are relievers John Axford and Burke Badenhop, and starter Marco Estrada.
Gomez, who will be a free agent at the end of the upcoming season, heads into 2013 as the Brewers' starting center fielder, with left-handed-hitting Logan Schafer likely to be the backup.
