Sturgeon Bay pulled off a minor upset last night in Packerland Conference basketball. A 62-49 win at Algoma certainly boosted the Clippers' confidence. A giant third quarter from behind the three point line led to 19 points for Trey Baumgardner. Sturgeon Bay senior Nathan Abrahamson added 14 as the Clippers held off a late Wolves rally.

Southern Door struggled to score the basketball in a 66-44 loss to Kewaunee. Mitchell Neubauer scored three points under his season average but still led the Eagles with 15 points. The Storm was led by Zack Baumgartner's 16 points.

N.E.W. Lutheran remains the top team in the conference after a convincing 73-52 win over Gibraltar. The Blazers got a monster effort from Travis Voigt who poured in 21 points.

Sevastopol won the lone nail biter in the conference last night 43-41 over Oconto. Sevastopol outscored the Blue Devils by seven points in the final quarter and by 14 in the second half. Cody Giesseman led the surge and finished with 13 points to lead the Pioneers.

Hortonville beat Luxemburg-Casco 59-45 in the Bay Conference Tuesday. Jake Zeitler kept the Spartans in it with 15 points on five 3-pointers.
