Packers Fans Will Be Watched Closely Tomorrow Night

The Green Bay Packers today asked fans to enjoy Saturday night’s Wild Card matchup vs. the Minnesota Vikings by keeping in mind the fan code of conduct, guidelines that outline irresponsible conduct at the stadium.

Stadium and law enforcement personnel will be extra vigilant at the game given the game’s unique circumstances: Saturday night, playoffs and a division rival.

In addition to the added vigilance, alcohol sales will cease at the beginning of the third quarter, earlier than the standard end of the third quarter.

“Packers fans, in general, provide an exciting, enjoyable environment at Lambeau Field, and we’re expecting that again Saturday night,” said Doug Collins, the Packers’ director of corporate security/risk management. “Night games previously have presented us with more challenges than normal with regard to inappropriate behavior. We are asking fans to enjoy the game responsibly and also help us out by reporting poor conduct to stadium and law enforcement personnel, either in person, or by text at the number posted in the stadium.

“The vast majority of our fans – 99 percent – follow the code of conduct, and we appreciate that. Those that don’t will be addressed so that others may continue to enjoy the game. We want to provide the best experience for everyone who attends.”

Collins also reminded fans to make their way to the stadium entry gates early, as enhanced security screening measures remain in place. As the season has progressed and the weather has turned colder, fans have been coming into the stadium later. By entering early, fans can ensure themselves of being in their seats for kickoff. Fans can also help themselves to move through screening by bringing only the essentials to the game, lessening their time getting screened.

More information on the fan code of conduct can be found online at www.packers.com/gameday/fan-conduct.html.
