Adrian Peterson made his best case to NFL MVP voters last night in a 199 yard rushing day to lead his Minnesota Vikings past the Packers 37-34. Finishing just nine yards shy of Eric Dickerson's NFL rushing record, the player nicknamed "All Day" did just that by running wild all day against Green Bay.
The only way Minnesota could claim a playoff spot was by winning yesterday. The victory also bounced the Bears from the playoffs. A rematch will ensue now at Lambeau Field Saturday at 7:00 PM between the Packers and Vikings. If the Packers win they will travel to San Francisco the following weekend.
Sunday's loss for Green Bay came despite Aaron Rodgers' four touchdown afternoon. He added 365 yards with two of those TD tosses to Greg Jennings. Number 85 hauled in eight balls for 120 yards.
