As if the Chicago Bears needed any more motivation Sunday playing the Green Bay Packers, tight end Jermichael Finley said the Bears are better off without Brian Urlacher.
"Urlacher is at the end of his career right now; he's playing a little slow out there," Finley told Fox Sports Wisconsin yesterday. "I don't think they're losing too much if he's out. Putting another guy in might help them a little."
Urlacher, a 13 year veteran, said he is "100 percent" and expects to be back for the playoffs. After starting the season 7-1, they have dropped four of five games so the playoffs are not a given.
Chicago's linebacking corps now includes Nick Roach, Lance Briggs and Geno Hayes.
