The Green Bay Packers signed running back DuJuan Harris and wide receiver Jeremy Ross to the active roster from the practice squad and placed tight end Andrew Quarless (knee) and safety Sean Richardson (back) on injured reserve. The transactions were announced Saturday by Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations.
Harris, a 5-foot-8, 203-pound first-year player out of Troy University, was signed by Green Bay to the practice squad on October 24. He played in five games for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2011 after spending the opening 11 games of the season on Jacksonville’s practice squad. He also was with the Pittsburgh Steelers briefly during the 2012 preseason after being claimed off waivers from Jacksonville on August 27. Harris will wear number 26.
Ross, a 6-foot, 215-pound first-year player out of the University of California, was signed to Green Bay’s practice squad on October 17. He spent the final 13 games of the 2011 season on the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad. Ross was released by Indianapolis on August 31, 2012. He entered the NFL as a non-drafted free agent with the New England Patriots in July 2011. Ross will wear number 10.
