Thanksgiving and football has become quite the tradition for many families in Northeast Wisconsin. Packers fans got a chance to root against the Cowboys and Lions and this year for the first time in NFL history, watch a night game. Both games including an NFC matchup benefited the Packers yesterday.
The Lions were pushed further out of the playoff picture with a 34-31 overtime loss to the Texans. The Cowboys had a better record than the Redskins entering play on Thanksgiving, and Washington put Dallas another game behind Green Bay in the playoff race. A 38-31 Washington win featured great play from rookie of the year candidate Robert Griffin III.
The late game last night was a Patriots blow out win over the Jets. The 49-14 final has New York Coach Rex Ryan on the hot seat.
