The Southern Door varsity boys basketball program started their season with an exclamation point last night in the Town of Gardner. An Eagle 86 to 36 win over Green Bay West was the ideal start to a season according to second year head coach Ben Rikkola. Southern Door jumped out to a 21-4 first quarter lead.
Mitchell Neubauer led the way with 16 points, Austin Rohe scored 13, Lance Klaubauf 11, and Trevor Hawkey poured in 10 points. Also making an impact was Cal McCarty with eight points and Mitchel Gerend, Brett Kinnard, and Aaron Larsen who each scored seven points.
