It has been a college career filled with hard work and dedication for Algoma red shirt junior Sam Zastrow. A senior in school, with two years of eligibility remaining for NCAA Division 1 hoops, Zastrow has moved up the depth chart this year for the Phoenix as seen in the first two games.
The Phoenix are (2-0) after a big win over Judson 103-31 and a 75-36 thumping of Michigan Tech. Against Judson, Zastrow made the most of her time. After 13 minutes, the 5'5" guard somehow tallied two rebounds, with four steals, two assists and four points (2/2 FT and 1 / 2 FG).
Last Saturday against Michigan Tech, Zastrow played only five minutes but was 1/1 from the floor with one steal and three turnovers.
Next up for UWGB is a road trip to Northern Iowa Saturday with a 2:30 PM start.
