
In a WIAA Level 2 Division 4 High School Football playoff game Saturday night at Memorial Field, the Little Chute Mustangs dominated the Sturgeon Bay Clippers 61-12. Little Chute ended Sturgeon Bay’s season by scoring four touchdowns in the first quarter and added four more in the second quarter to take a commanding 54-6 lead at halftime.
Mustang running back Tyler Zak rushed for three touchdowns and quarterback Mitch Ciske tossed three touchdowns as Little Chute used a balanced attack to score early and often. The lone bright spot for Sturgeon Bay was Junior Blucher. The senior running back rushed for 155 yards unofficially on 15 carries and two touchdowns. Blucher finished the season with over 1100 rushing in only nine games played.
Sturgeon Bay finished a successful season 6-4 as Little Chute (9-1) will now advance to play Freedom next week in Level 3 Playoff action at a neutral field to be determined.
