
The boys soccer season is over for Southern Door, Algoma, Kewaunee and Luxemburg-Casco. After the regional semi-final round wrapped up last night only two area teams will play in the regional final round tomorrow.
The number one team in the state, Sturgeon Bay will host Sheboygan Christian. Gibraltar/Sevastopol will play at N.E.W. Lutheran.
The Clippers were 11-1 winners over Oshkosh Lourdes. Reid Stevenson scored five goals to lead Sturgeon Bay to victory. The Northern Door co-op topped Gresham/Bowler 3-0. While Algoma fell to Sheboygan 1-0 and Kewaunee lost to the number two team in the state, N.E.W. Lutheran 4-0. Luxemburg-Casco lost 4-3 to Plymouth in Division 2.
In area youth soccer, Sturgeon Bay Red defeated St. Peter's of Sturgeon Bay 4-0 this week. Goals were scored by Noah Smith, Nathan Leonardson and Trent Jeanquardt.
Yesterday, Sturgeon Bay Red defeated Northern Door 5-2. Noah Smith scored three goals, while Trent Jacobsen and Ryan Safranski each netted a goal apiece.
Finally, Sturgeon Bay White defeated Algoma 2-1. Goals were scored by Christopher Rittle and Eberhardt Deitzel.
