Brillion Spoils Clippers' Homecoming 42-14

In Sturgeon Bay's homecoming game heard on 104.1FM WRLU, the Brillion Lions (6-1) cruised to

a 42-14 victory Friday night in Olympian/Packerland football action. The Lions capitalized on three

Clipper turnovers in the first three minutes of the game to take a commanding 21-0 lead. Eric

Kittel intercepted a tipped pass and returned it 47 yards to give Brillion a 7-0 lead twenty seconds

into the game.  A fumbled snap and a fumble on a kickoff turned into two more touchdowns for

Brillion.  Sturgeon Bay did respond with a 41 yard run from Junior Blucher to close within 21-6, but

the Lions scored on a 66 yard fake punt run by Brandon Pribberow with 1:51 left before halftime.

Sturgeon Bay's only other score came on a 19 yard pass from Matthew Van Broemer to Ross

Wiersba late in the fourth quarter.  Sturgeon Bay (4-3) now must travel to Mishicot next Friday

and win to guarantee a playoff berth. Pre-game will be at 6:30pm with kickoff scheduled for

7:00pm on 104.1FM WRLU.
