Brewers' Playoff Hopes Ended Sunday

One of the worst records in Major League Baseball history will accompany the Houston Astros this offseason. The team that will move to the American League next year crushed four home runs off Brewers starter Mike Fiers yesterday and ended Milwaukee's postseason chances with a 7-0 win at Miller Park.

Sunday's loss was its sixth in nine games following a 24-6 run that propelled the team into contention, pushing them within 1.5 games of the Cardinals at one point for the National League's second Wild Card spot.
