
In Olympian Packerland Conference High School Football game Friday night broadcasted on 104.1FM WRLU, the Sturgeon Bay Clippers defeated the Southern Door Eagles 27-3 at Memorial Field. After a sluggish and penalty-filled three quarters, Sturgeon Bay used a dominating running game and a suffocating defense to pull away from the Eagles. Clipper Running Back Junior Blucher scored two touchdowns and rushed for 220 yards unofficially on 22 carries. Lucas Stephenson added 165 yards rushing and one touchdown as Sturgeon Bay scored three fourth quarter touchdowns to seal the victory. Southern Door trailed only 6-3 going to the final quarter, but could only muster the 31 yard field goal in the second quarter from Keegan Kroennig. Southern Door (0-3) will host Valders next week while Sturgeon Bay (2-1 ) will play Oconto next Friday night.
