Three nights remain for Prestige Yacht Coatings Thunderhill Raceway this season. The action is sure to maintain intensity as the drivers cross the finish line. The races this week are hosted by Witt Peninsula Ford and are holding a unique and fun event – Big Wheel races. During intermission kids will have the opportunity to have their own race along the front stretch of the track.
Even after a second-place finish last week, James Tebon still dominates the IMCA Modifieds standings. Tebon maintains a 25-point lead over second-place Billy Lemieux. It seems almost impossible, but Lemieux is still in title contention.
The IMCA Stock Cars division is still led by defending champion Troy Muench, even after his flat-tire during last week's race. Dave Bouche has inched ever closer to first place over the past few races; this weekend's race will see him trailing Muench by only 2 points.
After a problem-ridden race last week, drivers in the IMCA Sports Mods division are looking to make up for lost ground. An engine explosion cost Jared Van Laanen his shot at his first win and afforded Bernie Reinhardt the green flag last Saturday night.
For the past three weeks Tom Brumlic has seen his 20-point lead in IMCA Hobby Stocks be whittled-down by Derek Moede. Going into this weekend's race, Brumlic is only ahead by 2 points. Brumlic lost to Moede last week after a flat tire, also allowing C.J. Weckler to close the gap for third place to only 13 points behind first.
