
Yesterday's final week of regular season Door County League Baseball did not clear up a two way tie for first place between Sister Bay and Kolberg. Each was a winner Sunday and a tie breaker must now be played next Sunday at 1:30 PM at an undetermined site.
Jeff Sperber led Kolberg to victory. His winning effort on the mound was aided by four hits of his own at the plate, including two home runs and five RBI's. Kolberg topped Institute 14-4. Kirk Wilke had three hits and Cody Giesseman hit a two-run homer for Institute.
Sister Bay crushed Baileys Harbor 11-1. Stuart Larson had four hits, including two homers to pace the Bays. James Larsen and Justin Hartel also homered in the victory. Will Henricksen moved to (5-1) on the season in a complete game effort on the hill. He gave up just one run on five hits.
Egg Harbor shutout Washington Island 5-0. Riley Spetz improved to an amazing (12-0) for the league-leading Egg Harbor squad. Matt Ash homered twice for Egg Harbor (13-1).
West Jacksonport breezed past Maplewood 13-5. Woody Schartner earned the win on the mound and had four hits, two home runs and three RBI's. Ryan Tanck also homered to lead West Jacksonport to a (7-7) overall record.
