Though the rain came down on Thunderhill minutes into the first race last weekend, race fans will get an even bigger show this weekend to compensate. The bicycle race, originally slated for last week and hosted by the Estes family has been rescheduled for this weekend's race. Six drivers will be chosen by the same number of kids – those drivers will then race around the track on bicycles that will then be given to those same children.
The main event this weekend will center around Olson Fabrication, who is hosting the annual Trailer Race of Destruction. Not limited to standard race cars, drivers will take to the track with their vehicles with trailers attached. These trailers have been known, in the past to hold recreational vehicles as big as boats. This no-holds-barred race has been a popular sight at previous race events and looks to be no different this year.
As always, pit gates open at 3:30 p.m., main gates at 4:00 p.m. and the races begin at 6:00 p.m.
