Six time IMCA Modified Champion “Felix” Todd Dart captured his first feature of the season at Prestige Yacht Coatings Thunderhill Raceway last night. Other feature winners were Devin Snellenberger (IMCA Stock Car), Bernie Reinhardt (IMCA Sport Mod), Tom Brumlic (IMCA Hobby Stock) and Todd Polster (Street Stock).
Several of North Eastern Wisconsin’s best drivers took part in the IMCA Dakota Series Tour this week. 6 races in 6 nights and when the dust settled it was Algoma’s Shawn Havel taking home the Series Championship. Havel had the pressure on his back as he came into the final night of the series 2nd in points. Havel won the events finale, earning him the crown in the IMCA Stock Cars. Bonduel’s Greg Whichman took 4th in the standings, Kyle Fredrick of Oconto Falls was 15th and Jon Courchaine 22nd also of Oconto Falls. A total of 47 Stock Cars took the green flag in the Dakota Series.
Estes Family will be the sponsor for night #7 on Saturday, July 21 which will feature the ever popular drivers Bike Race. Thunderhill is located at the John Miles Fair Park on Sturgeon Bay’s east side with racing in the six divisions beginning every Saturday night through the summer at 6:00 PM.
