The Milwaukee Bucks have announced a number of player signings this week including two their of their top draft picks and one Appleton, Wisconsin native. Second-round draft pick Doron Lamb was signed to a multiyear contract yesterday and the team inked a deal with first-round pick John Henson on Tuesday.
Both players will be on Milwaukee's summer league squad, which opens a five-game schedule against New Orleans on Monday in Las Vegas. The Bucks will open a four-day camp for their summer league team Thursday at the Cousins Center in St. Francis.
Other late additions to the roster include former Wisconsin center and Appleton West High School graduate Brian Butch and NBA veteran DJ Mbenga, who last played for the New Orleans Hornets in the 2010-'11 season.
Butch, now 27, was signed as a free agent by New Orleans during training camp last December but waived a few weeks later. He played for the Bakersfield Jam in the NBA Development League during the 2011-'12 season and averaged 15.3 points and 9.8 rebounds in 17 games.
The 6-11 Butch is a former Wisconsin prep player of the year at Appleton West, a McDonalds All-American and played for the Badgers from 2004-'08.
