The Milwaukee Bucks solidified power forward Ersan Ilyasova's future with the Wisconsin NBA team yesterday when the two sides reached a deal on a multiyear contract, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The deal is reportedly for five years and as much as $45 million.
The 6-foot-10 Ilyasova, was one of the most coveted power forward fee agents in the game. A handful of NBA teams and even more European teams were attempting to lock up his services. Ilyasova averaged 13 points and 8.8 rebounds last season.
Free agents cannot sign contracts until Wednesday. The move will put the Bucks just over the $58 million salary cap, according to jsonline.com.
