
Brewers starter Mike Fiers pitched another fantastic game for Milwaukee yesterday at Miller Park. After 7 1/3 innings, the first year pitcher had given up just two runs on seven hits while striking out nine. The quality start was wasted by an offensive struggle by the 'Brew Crew.'
A 4-0 Brewers loss Thursday afternoon allowed the Marlins to earn a series split. Miami left-hander Mark Buehrle dominated the Milwaukee bats for 7 2/3 innings, giving up just six hits and striking out eight.
