
Two Algoma and one Southern Door softball players were honored by the Wisconsin Fast Pitch Softball Coaches Association with all-state recognition. Wolves' senior pitcher Courtney Dart was honored with a second team all-state honor for her outstanding play in 2012. She was selected by state coaches as a utility player.
Dart was also named to the Wisconsin Academic All-State Team. She was joined by teammate Amanda Mura and Southern Door senior pitcher McKayla Dantoin.
The only other area athlete to be featured with all-state recognition was Oconto Falls sophomore pitcher McKenna Larsen. She received second team all-state honors as a pitcher.
