
Driving past Carmody Park in Little Sturgeon this week has been a real sight. Nearly a hundred nationally sponsored truck and tailored rigs with tens of thousands of dollars tied up on the most impressive set ups this broadcaster has ever seen. Some of the trucks parked in Little Sturgeon look more like monster trucks than fishing trucks.
Bass anglers from the Bassmaster Elite Series represent tens of states ranging from South Carolina to Texas and everywhere in between. The top bass anglers in the world have been scouting and practice fishing the waters of Door and Kewaunee Counties the last three days. The actual tournament starts tomorrow and runs through Sunday.
The top five bass will be kept by anglers each day. First place will earn $100,000 in cash. Payout ranges all the way down to 50th place with a $10,000 payout.
