Sturgeon Bay American Legion Baseball fell 15-9 in a non-conference game with Green Bay Southwest last night. Southwest used a nine run first inning to propel them to victory. The Bays answered with six runs in the fifth but could not complete the comeback.
Sturgeon Bay was led by David Van Dreese and Casey Geisseman with a double and two singles each. Mitch Neubauer also had a multi-hit game. Riley Schartner entered the game as a reliever and threw four and one third innings. He allowed only two runs in a great performance.
The Bays are now (7-4) overall and will meet Chilton in a conference game tomorrow night at Memorial Field at 8:00. Riley Cordier is scheduled to start on the pitcher's mound for Sturgeon Bay. Free admission will be offered to Thursday night's game.
