The Door County YMCA Strivers Gymnastic Team will be competing at the YMCA Gymnastic Nationals this week. The event will be taking place in downtown Milwaukee at the Frontier Airlines Convention Center in cooperation with Milwaukee Summerfest Festivities.
Striver gymnasts that qualified and chose not to compete are Katie Peot level 3, Emily Ulberg level 3, Mercedes Bissen prep optional level.
Each level of competion medals the top six girls in each event. Returning to Nationals for a repeat visit are Abby Thiede, Sophia Pollman, Ally Dickson, ELlie Helm, Jenna Seiler, Jackie Mosgaller,and Bobbi Joe Laurent
The Strivers Team is coached by Head coach Nikki Pollman and her staff, Amy Gamble, Mikki Rankin, Gerritt DeJonge and Tom Utzinger.
A total of 19 Striver Gymnasts qualified for the National Meet. Girls must score a qualifying score throughout the competitive season to qualify. Sixteen girls have chosen to participate in the meet. They are:
